These records of field notes and plats of tracts in the New Creek, Warm Springs, and Sleepy Creek areas of Frederick, now Hampshire, County surveyed by Guy Broadwater in 1749. Descriptions of the quality of the land are frequently given, together with information about the persons for whom the land was surveyed. Research in the Northern Neck Land Office records has located grants for most of these tracts, and this identification has been included.
